To prevent fainting, start coughing vigorously for a couple of seconds. Take a deep breath before each a cough and the cough must be deep and prolonged. Take a deep breath and cough every two seconds until help arrives or your heart starts beating normally.
By taking a deep breath, you actually bring oxygen to your lungs and the strong cough supplies your heart with blood. This will give you enough time until the ambulance arrives. Before you do anything else, call 911 and until you wait to repeat this method in order to stay conscious and prevent serious consequences.
